The older folks (ie, the folks my age) will get the full joke here. In the Super Mario Bros. 2 manual, Birdo was revealed to be a boy who wanted to be a girl. This never really changed in Japan, but in the U.S., where gender ambiguity is something to be feared, they changed Birdo into a girl. I hear that's starting to change, though, with newer games calling Birdo's gender into question.  Anyway, this is yet another comic to coincide with the "Looting the Mushroom Kingdom" contest I'm running until August 8th. Everyone is welcome to enter for a chance to win prizes and stuff.
